Dr. Pawel Kaczmarczyk is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences (Chair of Demography), University of Warsaw. He is also the Head of the Central and East European Economic Research Centre (Warsaw University) and Joint Graduate Instruction Centre (Warsaw University and Warsaw School of Economics).
His main research interests include causes and consequences of international labour migration, migration and the labour market, migration policy (with special emphasis on Central and Eastern Europe). Author of many publications concerning these areas.
In 2002 and 2003 he was awarded the Scholarship for Young Researchers granted by the Foundation for Polish Science. In 2005 he was awarded the Scholarship of the Warsaw University’s Rector.
