dr hab. prof. ucz. Wojciech Łukowski

Wojciech Łukowski is Professor at the Faculty of Political Science, Warsaw University, and Professor at the Institute of Sociology, Warsaw School of Social Psychology.

He earned PhD in political sciences at the Institute of Political Sciences, Department of Journalism and Politic Sciences, Warsaw University (1992) and Habilitated Doctor degree in political sciences at the Institute of Political Sciences, Department of Journalism and Politic Sciences, Warsaw University (2002).

His research interest include local communities in Europe, social and cultural transition in Poland, migration , migration trends in Poland.

Professor Łukowski has taught at various Polish universities and also at University Bielefeld and Tuebingen (Germany).

He gave occasional lectures at academic institutions in many countries, e.g. at Humboldt University and Free University (Berlin), University of Vilnus, Moscow State University.

He has served as a consultant or expert to various Poland’s governmental bodies (e.g. Ministry of Education, Government Centre of Strategic Studies).

He is a member of Polish Sociological Association. Professor Łukowski has presented papers at over 30 international seminars and conferences.
