Labour mobility within the EU in the context of enlargement and the functioning of the transitional arrangements

 

Project was commisioned by the European Commission (DG Employment) and carried out by so-called European Integration Consortium (co-ordinator: Institut fuer Arbeit und Berufsforschung, Germany). Interim results were used for a preparation of 2008 European Commission study ‘Employment in Europe‘ (Spidla report). Centre of Migration Research was responsible – within the consortium – for an analytical work and delivery of two country studies (Poland and Lithuania) and of a module devoted to analysis of highly skilled migration from the new member states (Brain drain, Brain Gain, and Brain Waste).
