It’s not only about gastronomy, sewing, or beauty services. Migrant women’s entrepreneurship is developing in a variety of sectors. It can serve as a pathway to upward occupational mobility, a means to pursue aspirations, and a tool to regain social status lost due to migration. In this issue of CMR Spotlight, Kseniya Homel-Ficenes, Kamila Kowalska, and Mikołaj Pawlak present the results of their research on migrant women entrepreneurs in Poland and Italy and suggest ways to support such businesses.
This issue of CMR Spotlight is based on the study: ‘Business in a new country: strategies of migrant women and entrepreneurship support infrastructure in Poland and Italy’ IDUB CESS.
