CMR is organizing seminar with Prof. Rinus Penninx, who will give the lecture entitled: Old wine in new bottles? Comparing the post-war guest worker migration and the post 1989 migration from CEE-countries to EU-member countries.
Rinus Penninx is a Professor of Ethnic Studies at the University of Amsterdam with long-standing (as well as outstanding) academic career. He was the founder of the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies (IMES) at the University of Amsterdam. He has coordinated the Network of Excellence IMISCOE (International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe ) and IMISCOE Research Network. His current research has been mainly focused on migration and integration policies (at regional, country, and EU level).
The seminar starts at 11.30 am on Friday, June 23rd, and takes place in CeNT building (Banacha 2c) in room 0187 (to the right after the reception desk).
