On 11 January 2024 a jubilee seminar was held in the Senate Hall of the University of Warsaw in the Kazimierzowski Palace to mark the 80th birthday of Professor Marek Okólski, initiator and for many years director of the Centre of Migration Research.
The meeting began with an opening speech by profesor Alojzy Nowak, the Rector of the University of Warsaw.
This was followed by a scientific debate with the following participants: Prof. Krzysztof Zamorski (Institute of History, Jagiellonian University), Prof. Irena Ewa Kotowska (Warsaw School of Economics), Dr Agnieszka Fihel (OBM UW), Prof. Agata Górny (OBM UW and Faculty of Economic Sciences, UW), Prof. Izabela Grabowska (Chair of Economics, Kozminski University), Prof. Dariusz Stola (Institute of Political Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences).
