On September 16–18, 2026, the annual seminar of the Centre of Migration Research was held in the DPT PAN in Wierzba. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to review recent academic achievements, outline new initiatives, and address pressing research challenges.
During the academic sessions, 10 new research projects were introduced and 6 completed projects were summarized. Highlights of the academic program included key workshops and discussions, such as:
-
A film screening and discussion within the ROCIT project [trailer],
-
A workshop on ethical challenges and fieldwork experiences in migration research with hard-to-reach groups,
-
A discussion on growing anti-Ukrainian sentiments.
The event also featured plenty of evening integration activities. Participants enjoyed Belarusian folk dance lessons and a cozy campfire. Free time was filled with table tennis, pool and board games, and relaxation in the sauna.
