Alime Tombak is a master student in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Cologne. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Galatasaray University (French programme). Her research focuses on the sociology of migration, internal and international migration, transnationalism, migration policies, highly skilled migrants, social networks, class and mobility.

Alime Tombak is affiliated with the Centre of Migration Research for the period from August  to October 2021. She is assisting the project “Grandparenting at a distance”.
