Awards for CMR researchers

Jonathan is a sociologist who completed his PhD at the University of Warsaw and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris, supported by a French government scholarship. His dissertation examined the controversies surrounding Muslim immigration and jihadist terrorism in Europe, drawing on extensive fieldwork conducted in both Poland and France. For several years, he has worked as a researcher and analyst at the Centre for Public Opinion Research in Warsaw, where he authored nearly a hundred reports on a wide range of social and political issues. He also coordinated several separate research projects, such as focus group studies on the perception of Ukrainians by Poles and Poles by Ukrainians living in Poland following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. His main research interests include migration, ethnic and religious minorities and the sociology of common knowledge. Jonathan is a post-doctoral researcher in the research project “New bordering of the UK”.
