Karolina Madej is a sociologist and PhD candidate in the Doctoral School of Social Sciences UW. She has been associated with the Centre of Migration Research UW since 2018. In 2019 she graduated with a Master’s degree from the Institute of Sociology UW with the thesis “To leave, to stay or to return? – The analysis of migration plans of Ukrainians living in Warsaw”. Her research interests focus on topics such as immigration to Poland, processes of adaptation and integration of migrants in Poland, refugees in Poland, gender perspective in migration research, combining quantitative and qualitative methods in research.
