Awards for CMR researchers

Katarzyna Rakowska has been with the Centre of Migration Research since 2023. She is currently working as a researcher in the project Dignity For Irregular Migrants in EU Farm2Fork Labour Markets (DignityFrim). In 2024, she defended her doctoral thesis ‘The Law on the Resolution of Collective Disputes and the Right to Strike in Poland and their Impact on the Bargaining Power of Employees’ at the Department of Sociology, University of Warsaw. She pursued the NCN Prelude grant ‘Trade unions vis-à-vis restriction of the right to strike in Poland’. Her research interests include individual and collective labour relations, the institutionalisation of work and issues related to gender, migration, origin and their impact on labour market position.
