Ksenia Medvedeva is a sociologist and religious studies scholar. She defended her PhD, magna cum laude, at Freie Universität Berlin (Germany). Ksenia studied, worked and/or taught at the Higher School of Economics (St Petersburg and Moscow), University of Toronto (Canada), Polish Academy of Sciences, and the University of Warsaw (Poland). In her research, she focuses on different aspects of Eastern Orthodox Christianity. Ksenia conducted fieldwork in the US, Canada, Russia, Poland, and Greece. During her one-month stay at CMR, she will conduct a pilot study and prepare a research proposal on the topic “Resilience among religious communities in Europe (the case of Poland): Response to emigration from Belarus and Ukraine after 2020 and 2022”.
