Lili Somogyi

Lili Somogyi (she/they) is a research intern at the UW Centre of Migration Research. Her current project examines the situation of refugees from Ukraine in Hungary, with a specific focus on the development of the situation of Roma from the Transcarpathia region. Her main research interest lies in the migration trajectories and societal participation of vulnerable people on the move, with a specific focus on Gender. Past experiences include research and advocacy work at DeZIM Institute Berlin, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, Konsorcjum Migracyjne, Polnischer Sozialrat Berlin and the University of Geneva. Lili Somogyi holds a B.Sc. in Psychology (2022) from the University of Glasgow and is currently completing her MA in Sociology and Eastern European Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin.
