Justyna Sarnowska, PhD in Sociology; she graduated from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. She was distinguished by Florian Znaniecki’s Best Master Thesis Award awarded by Polish Sociological Association in 2014 for the thesis: Strategies of social sciences’ graduates in the labour market supervised by prof. Izabela Grabowska.
She was involved in the project Cultural diffusion through social remittances between Poland and UK funded by National Sciences Centre Poland. Justyna Sarnowska specialises in labour market, education, mobility of youngsters, transfer of habitus, skills and forms of capital through spatial mobility. Her PhD dissertation is entitled: The role of work abroad in the occupational paths of mobile youngsters and transfer of skills.
