Nina Boichenko graduated in cultural studies (2013) and psychology (2014) at the M. P. Dragomanov National Pedagogical University in Kiev and got her MA in Cultural Studies (2017) at the Jagiellonian University. Since 2018 Nina has been a PhD candidate in Interdisciplinary Humanities: borderlands, minorities, migrations in sociolinguistic perspective at the Polish Academy of Sciences. She is preparing her dissertation on The experience of refugeeism and processes of adaptation to a new social reality in the narratives of Ukrainian internally displaced persons (2014 – 2021).
Nina is a co-founder of the inter-university project Researchers on the Border (BBnG), that addresses the humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. Nina Boichenko has been working with the Centre of Migration Research since 2019 as a coordinator, researcher and mentor. Her research interests focus on the modes of communication and linguistic constructs among actors involved (or entangled) in migration processes
