Marta Biernath is a research assistant at CMR and a doctoral student at the Institute of Social Studies, Warsaw University. Her Ph.D. thesis is entitled: “ Institutionalization of the occurrence of immigrants. The case of Ukrainians and Armenians in Poland”.

She has received her MA at Jagiellonium University, Department of Sociology (2004). She has also graduated in International Relations from Dalarna University, Sweden (2004).

Her research interests include issues concerning institutionalizations of the immigrants’ occurence in Poland, immigrants’ organizations and entrepreneurship and theories of integration.
