New publication

New publication ‘International Migration in Europe. New Trends and New Methods of Analysis’ edited by Corrado Bonifazi, Marek Okólski, Jeannette Schoorl and Patrick Simon, published by IMISCOE Research Amsterdam University Press has just been released. The book includes an introduction and a chapter contributed by CMR researchers. (pdf)

z dnia 2008-06-18
w sprawie utworzenia międzywydziałowej jednostki organizacyjnej o nazwie
Ośrodek Badań nad Migracjami

Na podstawie § 22 ust. 8 w związku z § 18 ust. 2 Statutu Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego (Monitor UW z 2006 r. Nr 7A, poz. 94), a także na podstawie wniosków rad wydziałów: Dziennikarstwa i Nauk Politycznych oraz Nauk Ekonomicznych, Senat Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego postanawia, co następuje:

                            §1

1. Tworzy się międzywydziałową jednostkę organizacyjną o nazwie Ośrodek Badań nad Migracjami, zwany dalej „Ośrodkiem”.

2. Ośrodek jest podstawową jednostką organizacyjną w rozumieniu § 18 ust. 2 Statutu UW, prowadzącą działalność naukowo-badwczą.

                            §2

Koszty funkcjonowania oraz warunki materialne działania Ośrodka zapewnia Ośrodek.

                            §3

Zatwierdza się regulamin Ośrodka, który stanowi załącznik do niniejszej uchwały.

                            §4

Uchwała wchodzi w życie z dniem podjęcia.

New Report

Economic impacts of migration on Poland and the Baltic states, written by Paweł Kaczmarczyk and Marek Okólski, was prepared in conjunction with a project on labour mobility from the new EU member states to the Nordic countries that was commissioned to Fafo by the Nordic Council of Ministers http://www.fafo.no/pub/rapp/10045/index.html

New CMR publishing series

In 2007 the CMR has started new publishing series, Migration Studies.

The Scientific Advisory Committee of the Migration Studies series includes Marek Kupiszewski, Sławomir Łodziński, Wojciech Łukowski (Chairman) and Dorota Praszałowicz.

The first two volumes to appear in September were:
