Marie Holm Slettebak is a sociologist and a PhD-candidate at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. She is working on the GLARUS project (Global Labour in Rural Societies), that looks at labour migration to rural areas in Norway, UK and California. Her doctoral project is a quantitative study of labour migration to rural Norway after the EU-enlargement to the east in 2004, focusing on the changes in rural labour markets, social inequality and demographic development.

Her research interests include: Mobility (International migration, labour migration, internal mobility), social inequality, rural and urban areas and quantitative methods”.
