dr hab. prof. ucz. Agata Górny

Dr Agata Górny is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Warsaw University.

She was awarded a PhD in social sciences in 2002 at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University College London. Her PhD thesis was devoted to the role of social, economic and political networks in settlement migration from Ukraine to Poland.

Her research interests include mechanisms of illegal migration, remigration and immigration to Poland, economic adaptation of immigrants and, last but not least, the application of research techniques in migration studies. On these topics, she has already published several articles in Poland and elsewhere.

In 2003, she was awarded the scholarship of the Foundation for Polish Science. She is a member of the Polish Sociological Association and European Association for Population Studies.
